Under subsection 123( 1 ), an "insurance plan" means: a policy or contract of insurance coverage, consisting of life, residential or commercial property and also casualty policies, however excluding a guarantee agreement (see the note listed below) that is issued by an insurance provider, consisting of a reinsurance plan issued by an insurance firm, an annuity contract released by an insurance provider or an agreement issued by an insurance provider that would certainly be an annuity agreement except that the payments under the contract are payable on a periodic basis at periods that are much longer or shorter than one year, or vary in amount depending on the worth of a defined team of properties or modifications in rate of interest, and also an agreement issued by an insurance provider all or component of the insurer's reserves for which vary in amount relying on the worth of a defined team of possessions; a policy or contract in the nature of accident and sickness insurance coverage whether the policy is provided or participated in by an insurance provider; as well as a quote, efficiency, maintenance or repayment bond released in regard of a building contract.
